Color Meaning and Symbolism

I’m always incorporating color meaning into symbolic interpretations. As with anything, color adds an extra layer of depth, quality and meaning to the overall view.

When colors are shown to me, I typically revert to the chakras for intuitive cues. The chakras can serve as effective blueprint for color meaning. For example, the root ( Muladhara) chakra is the pilot light of the energetic chakra spine. It ignites our flame and speaks to us of passion. Appropriately, the corresponding color for the root chakra is red. Each chakra share similar corresponding color values. Associating these symbols with color meanings has been invaluable in personalizing and driving deeper meaning into the spectrum of hues.

Of course, nature in all her glory is the ultimate teacher. Nature is the most exquisite canvas, and observing colors in the environment craft a fine understanding.

Here are a few observations I use when interpreting color meaning. Along with a brief description of each color’s symbolism I’m including planetary, zodiac, numeric correspondences. I also thought it would be fun to include healing properties, as many health practitioners work with color for healing purposes.

Lastly, I include a mantra. When you’re using colors to underscore an intention, in your meditations, or for symbolic purpose you can incorporate a mantra like this to galvanize the properties of the color.

Have fun with this quick color chart meaning!

Now to get a little personal, color therapy has been used as a secret language which is also one of the languages of soul. My girlfriend has communicated with me a different emotion each time by wearing a different colored dress. The meeting really never took place but yet the colors express a lot more than what meets the eye.

The color green tells me that she wants me to pay more attention to her.

The color pink tells me that she misses me and loves me alot.

The color crimson rose tells me that she’s feeling on top of the world and that she’s happy with matters.

The color brown tells me she is being attached to basic needs which are really on the top of her priority list.

The color white tells me that she is in a care-free state of emotion, not really planning anything ahead.

The color black tells me that she is in charge. So don’t play play. Follow her queue.

The color purple tells me that she wants me to pay attention on my financial status, to upgrade myself in clothing, foot wear, headgear, and do well in business.

The color orange shows me a path of health to follow. Do more exercise and keep physically active.

The color red show that she resents my involvement with other women. RED ALERT. WARNING.

The color Yellow tells me that she is intelligent, and to trust her judgement.

The color Blue exemplifies her determined mindset on the way she wants me to be via her queue or body language.

The color Grey tells me that she is crossed with my behavior that needs rectifying.
